Project Life - Week 17

YAY!!!! My first Project Life Tuesday post that is ON TIME!!!!!! I had so much fun getting my pictures together tonight, it was not the rushing and trying to just throw pics in order at the last min. This weeks pictures are all from Addison's end of the year field trip - so many cute pictures of her and some of her friends that I wanted to include them all!

5.3 - Addison at Buckhead Creek - this is the recreational center that is owned by our church. They have an incredible property that is such fun for kids. Her pre-school had a field trip and took the kids to Buckhead for the day and let them ride the "train" and have a picnic lunch.

5.4 - Addison and her friend Lindsey. Addison is the smallest one in her class and the other girls are always trying to take care of her. I watched a little girl pick Addison up and carry her to the slide, I had to tell the little girl that Addison was the same age she was!! HA!

5.5 - Addison and Madison - these two have really hit it off this year! They were looking forward to riding the Buckhead train!!

Project Life - Week 13!!

Happy Project Life Tuesday!!!

I am SO far behind on my daily journaling cards but I am determined to stay caught up on my blog, it give me a cheat sheet for my journaling cards. I am SOOOO busy with school right now, I breathe, eat and sleep homework! I just keep telling myself, "I think I can...I think I can..." I did get some great news on Friday, I passed the reading portion of my Praxis II exam!! I have three more of these state exams to take and pass before I student teach in Jan. 2011, I am taking the next portion on April 24th. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoy my pics of the week!!

4.5 - I wanted to take a picture of my office/cubicle area - I realized today that in December of this year I will no longer be working in this office. I have been there three years this month but have been in the real estate/mortgage business for over TEN years now. Yes, my Edward Cullen stocking is still up from Christmas, I cannot bear to take him down!

4.6 - I uploaded some pics that were on Jena's camera this weekend, look at this shot of Addison, she looks like a teenager with that beanie on!!

4.7 - I have such a wonderful husband! He and my whole family helps me so much while I am in school! I am only home on Tuesday nights and then the weekends are crammed with homework/projects. Shawn is so wonderful to even attempt to dry Addison's hair with the round brush - THANK YOU HONEY!!

4.8 - Addison really loves playing games on the online, she plays games on Nick Jr., PBS Kids and Sprout online. Look at her being a little lady sitting at my laptop table!!

4.9 - NEW BIKE!!!!!! We bought Addison a big girl bike this week and she has done such a good job learning how to ride! Her school is having a trike-a-thon for St. Jude next week; I cannot wait to go and watch all the kiddos riding for such a good cause!

4.10 - Is it WRONG that Addison at 5 years old knows how to operate Jena's iTouch better than Shawn and I do??!!??

4.11 - Addison went to a classmates birthday party today, these superstar sunglasses were in the party favor bag! SUPERSTAR!!!!!!!

Project Life - Week 11

It's Project Life Tuesday!!! I have to post a disclaimer for this week and the next 6 weeks - I told you all in my last post I am taking three classes this term so I just do NOT have a lot of ME time. I have told myself that I am NOT going to get behind on my album, even if I have to look back through old pictures and use some of my favorites that I have not printed yet for my 2010 album. I have really enjoyed taking these pictures and doing the journaling cards as well, however I AM behind on my journaling but I will catch up on those this week. (I HOPE!!) I am so thankful that my Momma takes pictures of Addison during the week, many of the pics in this weeks post are hers. I am thinking that I might need to invest in a small point a shoot camera that I can just throw in my purse, that way I could snap some pics of my girlfriends at school! I want to capture and have memories of these wonderful gals in my classes, without them I would NOT make it through!! Can't wait to visit everyone's blogs and check out this weeks pics!

3.22 - Picture of the birthday girl with a birthday balloon! As you know from last weeks post we had her birthday party at Build a Bear and then went up to the food court for pizza and cupcakes. It is mall policy that you cannot have balloons or light candles in the mall - so she had to play with her balloons once we got home.

3.23 - Addison went to see an allergist today. Poor baby had to have about 24 small pricks on her back so that we could see if it was allergies that is keeping her so sick with coughing and congestion. We found out that she is allergic to several trees, mold, and FEATHERS! The doctor doesn't want to treat the allergies just yet, she had a really bad sinus infection that he wants to clear up before we even attempt to tackle the allergies. Hopefully it is the sinuses that is giving her the issues and we wont have to deal with the allergies right now.

3.24 - A project that I did tonight in class - we were learning different things that we could do for science lessons, how CUTE is this skeleton made outta q-tips??? I cannot WAIT to do this in my classroom one day!

3.25 - Taking a bath in NeNe's HUGE jacuzzi tub!

3.26 - I did not have a picture for Friday so I have been going thru my pictures and picking out ones that I want to put in my album and journal about. Here is Addison last year when she was in the hospital with pneumonia - we are STILL dealing with the sinus/congestion from that hence why we were at the allergist earlier this week!

3.27 - I cut all my hair off!! I had at least 5 almost 6 inches cut off my hair today - I had started waking up every morning and putting my hair in a ponytail, it was TIME to go back to some style! I am really happy with the cut, I am going to go this weekend and lighten it up some for the summer! :)

3.28 - Addison is smelling some flowers that her grandparents put on the altar at church in honor of her and in memory of Avery for their 5th birthdays

Project Life - Week 10

YAY!! I am so happy that I was able to join in the fun for this Project Life Tuesday - my life has been just crazy busy this past week and I was really thinking that I was going to have to skip this weeks post. I was able to get my pics together though, and even have 45 mins to spare before the clock strikes midnight!! Matter of fact I am going to use that 45 mins to catch up on my journaling cards - I do not want to get too far behind!! Please pray for me as I start going to school three nights this week. I will be in class Monday, Weds, and Thursday nights, but only for SEVEN weeks!! I can DO this - graduation is so close I can taste it!! Hope everyone is having a good week and enjoy the pics!!

3.8 - This was an EXCELLENT picture to start off this week in the Banks' household. This week has been so busy, my observations have started and I took one portion of my Praxis exam on Saturday morning. I have to tell you all that I spent a lot of quiet time with Jesus this week - I have been totally overwhelmed and doubted myself many, many times but with Him I have been able to press on through this storm!!

3.9 - Our family sponsors a little girl with Compassion International - it warms my soul to get letters and drawings from her. It made my hectic week so much better to get this drawing from Ivonne today. I am so glad that our family is able to help this child in El Salvador.

3.10 - I realized that I didn't have a picture for Weds this week so I chose one of my favorites that I have not had printed yet. I love this picture of Addison in her fairy wings!

3.11 - Addison celebrated her birthday today at school!! She was able to wear this fabulous birthday crown all day and was oh so excited that she was able to pick a prize out of the treasure chest!! (Her birthday isn't until the 20th but she will be on Spring Break from school that week.)

3.12 - She is 5 going on 35!! Didn't she do just a wonderful job with her blush today!!??!!

3.13 - I love this picture - I was able to be sneaky and catch her making herself beautiful in her bathroom. I am almost POSITIVE some singing of a Hannah Montana song was apart of this process!!

3.14 - Check this out - Aunt Maxi gave Addison an early birthday gift today, it was Barbie and her pups that she has been potty training!! Look closely, I can assure you that is not MUD on the newspaper where the pups are learning to go potty!! HA!!

Project Life - Week 9

It's Tuesday again!! Time for those weekly Project Life posts! I am on Spring Break this week and plan on getting all my journaling cards and all caught up. I am only a few days behind, so it should not take me too long. With these great Tuesday posts keeping me on my toes - its easy for me to go back and view my blog and just jot down on my journaling card and pop it right into my album. I cannot say ENOUGH about this scrapbooking system!! I work, and go to school, and I still have time to complete this project each week. THANK YOU BECKY HIGGINS for creating this, now on to my pics!! 3.1 - Tonight I sat and watched in total sadness as Jake picked HER over Tenley!! Boo, Jake!!

3.2 - Happy Birthday Sweet Avery Grace - I know that you enjoyed your birthday with the angels!!

3.3 - This crazy weather change has Addison sick AGAIN - we are so ready for some steady temps around here!! She missed school on Tuesday and Thursday this week.

3.4 - However - this picture does NOT look like a sick little girl at all! You know how it is with kids, they seem to be fine during the day and then it goes down hill at night!

3.5 - My last Saturday class was this week - here is all my books and all that I had out while I was preparing for my presentation on Saturday morning. Don't look at the TV remote control - I promise the TV was OFF ;)

3.6 - Addison got this puppy bingo game for Christmas and we had a fun time playing together on Saturday night. I have always, always loved board games!!

3.7 - I did not have a picture that I took on Sunday but with Addison's 5th Birthday coming up this month I wanted to put this picture in my Project Life album. I say this every year - I cannot believe that she will be 5 in a few weeks. I remember the doctors telling us that we would be cautiously optimistic with her, and that it would be touch and go for a very long time. I do not lay my head on the pillow at night without praising my Heavenly Father for Addison - her 5 years of life, and the passing of her twin sister has taught me so much. I would not be the woman that I am today had it not been for that storm in my life.

2.23 - My momma actually took this picture and I loved it! The weather has been CRAZY for us this winter season!! Addison has been all snuggy warm in coat, mittens, and hat one day, and then short sleeves the next!

2.24 - I had a science fair project due in class tonight. We were supposed to do a project on the grade level that we hope to teach one day. Here is my second grade project on which ice cream melts the fastest!


2.25 - My parents gave me this lion and the lamb for Christmas, I love everything about it! It brings such a sense of peace to me each time I walk by it in my living room.

2.26 - My mother in law gave Addison this camera two years ago as a Christmas gift. She has really been using it alot lately - she has so many pictures she could start her own project life book!!
2.27 - I did NOT tell Addison to do this!! She came walking in my bedroom tonight and this is what she looked like!! Her little spunky personality and sense of humor is coming out more and more each day.
2.28 - We enjoyed working this puzzle together today. I have always liked puzzles of any kind, I hope that Addison continues to like them as she gets older.

I cannot believe that February is OVER - I have so enjoyed printing my pictures and flipping through my project life album already!! Cannot wait to see all the pics this week!!

Project Life - Week 7

I cannot believe that its Tuesday again!! I feel like this month has just flown by!! Here are my Project Life pics for this week, I am SO excited because I figured out how to use one of the fonts by Becky Higgins!! 2.16 - I never take pics of myself so this is a HUGE deal for me! On Tuesday I had my hair colored and went a little darker than usual - I was VERY happy with the outcome!

2.17 - Addison trying some of Hungry Girl's Mississippi Mud - it was really, really good, so far everything that I have made from Hungry Girl's website or book has been wonderful!

2.18 - It was pajama day at school today!!

2.19 - Addison is loving music more and more each day - she REALLY enjoys playing Band Hero and singing Taylor Swift or Hannah Montana songs!

2.20 - Addison's FIRST time eating cotton candy - she said it tasted like fur in her mouth, but GOOD fur of course!


2.21 - I do not have a picture for Sunday - the weather was really nice this weekend and Addison played outside some at my parents house, I plan on getting a picture off my mom's camera for this day.

2.22 I had to do a science fair project for my general methods class at school - my topic was which ice cream melts the fastest soft serve or out of a carton??!!??
